Mother's Day is around the corner. When it comes to finding Mother's Day gifts, I am always searching for something new, unique and reasonably priced. One of my favorite
stores to shop for Mother's Day gifts is Ten Thousand Villages* (asterisks on this page indicates an affiliate link…learn more here). I truly love this store and it is a great place to find unique gifts for Mother’s Day, Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Ten Thousand Villages, it is a non-profit social enterprise and one of the world’s largest fair trade organizations that strives to improve the livelihood of artisans in over 30 countries. Being friends with many artists, I appreciate a company that makes sure artists are getting recognized and paid for their work. All products are handmade using local materials and ethically sourced. Over the years, I have purchased (or received) jewelry, scarves, purses, and 2 bamboo sling chairs from Ten Thousand Villages. Every item I have has withstood the test of time. For example, my favorite purse was given to me over 10 years ago and it still looks brand new inside and out. I receive compliments on the purse everywhere I go. Their items vary in price, but there are plenty of budget friendly items. Below are a few of their current items available for under $50.
These items are currently available, but they have so much more to offer including accessories, kitchen and dining, baskets & storage, lamps, and furniture to name a few. So if you are looking for a unique gift for that person who has everything, check out what Ten Thousand Villages* has to offer.
