Done! Just over 9 minutes…isn't that nice. It would take me longer to drive to the supermarket. It doesn't really take that much time and it saves you a lot of money. Cost ComparisonThe butternut squash I bought and cut up was on sale for 98 cents per pound. At the same store, buying the pre-cut butternut squash, they charge $3.99 for 15 oz., which isn't even a pound. There is a lot of waste. The usable portion came to just over 24 oz. making the pre-cut over 3 times more expensive. So I usually keep at least 1 or 2 extra butternut squashes hanging around. If I feel like cutting it up, I know it's going to take me less than 10 minutes to do it. Every once in a while, sure go ahead…you don't have much time…buy the pre-cut.
